Please keep in mind that my Overall Score is based on how I feel after viewing & not an average of each score. I thought the acting from the leads were decent as this is my first time seeing a work from both Komatsu Nana & Oizumi Yo. The OST caught my attention quite well và the overall screenplay was pretty decent (but not without a bit of pacing problems) for a live-action adaptation. This is gonna get a bit personal but anyway.. I haven"t seen the anime for this yet but I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. This isn"t really a review, it"s moreso a critical response so bear with me.Some of you may be turned off by the age gap romance but it"s not the main premise at all. It"s about people struggling to lớn find a way back on track with the things they enjoy doing và I really resonated with that - albeit with different circumstances. Back in high school, I ran track and field - 100m sprints khổng lồ be specific. I loved the adrenaline coursing through my veins, the sound of the gun going off, & the wind on my face as I cut through the track. However, I never came first. I was always 2nd, 3rd, etc & sometimes even last in my heat. All I could vì was watch as my peers và rivals got better & better. Despite that, I kept striving lớn improve because I loved the sport.. Until one day. I suddenly thought maybe I wasn"t cut out for this, I was fed up with my results - angry at myself because I couldn"t get better. Maybe because it was my graduating year that I was forced by my parents khổng lồ focus on what I"d be doing post-secondary or maybe I was just making excuses trying lớn think of a way out of the embarrassment and disappointment.. So I stopped trying và I just gave up. I didn"t have the courage to lớn carry on, just lượt thích a lot of the things that I tried to vì chưng after. I half-assed everything. I became easily discouraged & self-loathing. Now I"m 23, working a job that I don"t enjoy, struggling khổng lồ get back on track with things I"m passionate about - hell I"m struggling lớn figure out what my passions truly lie. Watching the characters in this movie interact with each other và how they go about their daily lives made me reflect on many things và also made me think back khổng lồ the challenges I faced when I ran.
